I grew up watching syndicated re-packaged
Our Gang/Little Rascals shorts on television. They were in black and white, so I've always sort of assumed that they were from the same era as
The Munsters and
Leave It to Beaver. Wikipedia just informed me that they're actually a product of the 1930s, which makes a little more sense, now that I think about it.
That's not worthy of a
Stuff I Found on Wikipedia entry. The fact that the kid who played Alfalfa was a contemptible sociopath is. A lot of people are frequently cited as the quintessential child-star-gone-bad. But can Todd Bridges, Dana Plato, Drew Barrymore, or Danny Bonaduce really compete with Alfalfa and his on-set "pranks" involving switchblades and fishing hooks? He even died at a young age under grisly circumstances.
